SUMMER TECHNIQUE SERIES #1 LEARN TO KNIT A SOCK HEEL Sunday, July 5: 12:30 – 2:30 PM

Socks can be pretty straightforward to knit once you understand how to make the heel. Bring your DUTCH SOCK knit down to the start of the heel to complete in class. HOMEWORK: aran weight yarn ribbed cuff knit to 7-8” on double pointed needles. LAMBS PRIDE yarn and double pointed needles: available to purchase. Call us to register. Knit A Wool Scarf  .   2 Sundays August 2 and 16       10 AM - noon For those of you new to the craft, this class will teach the basics of knitting with soft and renewable wool yarn. Topics to be covered are: Casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, garter stitch, ribbing stitch, cable stitch, seed stitch, joining yarn, and casting off. Continental, English or American knitting will be taught with full support for right handed or left handed knitters.  A 5 foot scarf with all pattern stitches represented will be the class project.
